Comparison Of Two Cleaning Methods For The Rehabilitation Of The Pelvic Floor Using Bacterial Detection And Analysis Of Vaginal Electrode Cleaning

Leave a message

The purpose is to compare the effectiveness of using flowing water to rinse vaginal electrodes for personal use during pelvic floor rehabilitation treatment, followed by either wiping with iodophor cotton balls or only rinsing with flowing water. The method involved randomly dividing in-use vaginal electrodes into two groups. The experimental group used flowing water to rinse the vaginal electrodes and then wiped them with iodophor cotton balls, while the control group only used flowing water to rinse the vaginal electrodes. Bacterial growth on the surface of the vaginal electrodes after cleaning with both methods was assessed. The results showed no bacterial growth on the surfaces of the vaginal electrodes in both groups, indicating no significant differences between the two groups. In conclusion, when using personal vaginal electrodes repeatedly, rinsing with flowing water is sufficient, and there is no need for additional wiping with iodophor cotton balls.
