Silk screen printing is a technique that uses a mesh to transfer ink (or dye) onto a substrate, except in areas blocked by a stencil template. A blade or squeegee moves across the screen, filling the open mesh holes with ink, and then a reverse stroke brings the screen into temporary contact with the substrate along the contact line. This causes the ink to wet the substrate and be pulled through the mesh as the screen snaps back after the blade passes. One color is printed at a time, allowing multiple screens to be used for multicolor images or designs. Products like Top-Rank's custom FlexTone pads for DR-HO'S and Top-Rank's training electrode pads are examples.
The silk screen printing process in electrode pads is intricate and delicate, involving numerous steps and technical points. Its success hinges on strict control and optimization of each step.

How it works?
During printing, ink is transferred onto the substrate (paper, ceramics, etc.) through the holes of a stencil by applying a certain amount of pressure, creating images or text.

What are the benefits of screen printed electrodes?
High adaptability
Silk screen printing is not constrained by the size and shape of the substrate. Unlike conventional printing, which is limited to flat surfaces, silk screen printing can be performed on both flat and specially shaped objects, such as spherical and curved surfaces, making it highly versatile for a wide range of products.
Exceptional Coverage
It achieves excellent coverage and is suitable for printing with special pigments and inks, such as silver paste and silver chloride printing.
Excellent lightfastness
The printed materials maintain their gloss unaltered over time, unaffected by changes in temperature or exposure to sunlight. This obviates the need for additional processes like laminating when printing certain types of adhesive labels.

What is the purpose of screen printing?
One of the reasons why silk screen printing is so popular is that it allows for easy multiple reproductions of a design. By using the same template for repeated production, it significantly streamlines the process of mass-producing identical items. With experienced operators and professional equipment, silk screen printing can even achieve complex color designs. Although the complexity of this process does limit the number of colors that can be used, the colors it produces are richer and more vibrant than those achieved through digital printing.
