TENS Electrodes Manufacturer | Anatomic Pads for Back, Neck & Joint Therapy
Sourcing specialized TENS electrodes? We manufacture body-contoured pads designed for specific muscle groups. Compatible with all standard TENS units using 2.0mm pin or 3.5mm snap connections.
Product Introduction
Precision Fit for Every Muscle Group.
Standard square pads work for general pain, but they often fail on curved or highly mobile body parts. TOP-RANK TENS Electrodes in our "Body Part Series" are engineered with specific geometries to match human anatomy.
Unlike generic square pads, anatomic electrodes are designed to maintain full-surface contact during movement, not just at rest. By tailoring the shape of the electrode to the target muscle group (e.g., the curvature of the knee or the length of the spine), we achieve superior contact reliability and optimized current density. This ensures the stimulation penetrates deep into the tissue without the "edge stinging" caused by poorly fitted standard pads peeling off.
Anatomy-Driven Design: Why Shape Matters?
1. The "Butterfly" for Lumbar Support The lower back is the most common site for chronic pain. Our specialized Butterfly Electrodes feature a central cut-out or narrowed waist.
- Function: This geometry allows the pad to span across the spine or conform to the wide Latissimus Dorsi muscles without lifting when the patient bends forward.
2. The "Long Strip" for Cervical & Sciatic Pain Neck muscles (Trapezius) and the Sciatic nerve require linear stimulation paths.
- Function: Our rectangular strips (e.g., 40x150mm) cover the entire length of the muscle fiber, providing a more uniform stimulation sensation along the muscle fiber that small round pads cannot replicate.
3. Curved Pads for Articulated Joints Shoulders, knees, and elbows are difficult to treat because skin stretches during motion.
- Function: We use Flexible Tricot Backing combined with rounded or oval geometries. This eliminates sharp corners that typically snag on clothing, maintaining consistent contact impedance during joint flexion.
Selection Guide by Body Part
| Target Area | Recommended Electrode Shape | Benefit | |
| Lower Back (Lumbar) | Butterfly / Large Kidney | Improved contact stability; resists peeling during bending. | |
| Neck (Cervical) | Long Strip / Curved Crescent | Reduced edge lift; avoids hairline interference. | |
| Knee / Elbow | Round (50mm) / Oval | More uniform current density around bony prominences. | |
| Shoulder (Rotator Cuff) | Large Oval / Half-Moon | Wraps effectively around the deltoid muscle. | |
| Wrist / Hand | Small Round (32mm) | Pinpoint stimulation for small motor nerves. |
Technical Compatibility
We manufacture these anatomic TENS electrodes with universal connectors to fit 99% of devices on the market:
- Pigtail Pin (2.0mm): The clinical standard. Fits most professional and OTC TENS units using standard pin connectors.
- Snap Button (3.5mm): The consumer standard. Fits most modern wireless consumer TENS devices using standard snap connectors.
All electrodes utilize our proprietary High-Tack Hydrogel, formulated to maintain adhesion even on curved skin surfaces subject to sweat and movement.
