TENS Unit Arthritis Pain

TENS Unit Arthritis Pain
Details:
Materials: High-impact ABS-PC enclosure with medical-grade silicone buttons. Internal PCB utilizes SMT (Surface Mount Technology) for signal stability.

Conductivity Principles: The device utilizes a feedback loop to monitor electrode-skin interface impedance. In arthritis applications, where joint contours often lead to uneven electrode contact, the constant-current drive prevents voltage spikes, maintaining a stable mA output.

ISO Standards: Manufactured in ISO 13485 audited facilities. Electrical safety compliant with IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-2-10 standards.

MOQ: 3,000+ for custom firmware UI or joint-specific electrode kitting.

TENS Unit for Arthritis Pain | Low-Impedance Joint Therapy | TOP-RANK

Dual-channel TENS stimulator for OA/RA management. Calibrated for 50-300 microsecond pulse widths to target small joint nerve recruitment. IEC 60601-2-10 compliant.

Product Overview

This hardware is a dual-isolated channel pulse generator engineered for chronic joint inflammation (Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis). Unlike generic TENS, this unit utilizes an MCU-controlled constant current output to maintain pulse intensity despite the high-impedance fluctuations typical of bony joint areas (fingers, wrists, ankles).

Key Features

  • Small Joint Impedance Adaptation

Small joints like fingers have high surface resistance due to less soft tissue. Generic TENS units often cause "pin-prick" sensations when voltage fluctuates. Our circuit employs a high-speed feedback loop that stabilizes the mA output, ensuring the sensory threshold is maintained without reaching the pain threshold even as the electrode-to-skin contact varies. /

  • Charge-Balanced Waveform Integration

To prevent skin irritation during 20-60 minute sessions, the output stage is calibrated to a zero-net DC component. Oscilloscope verification confirms that each positive pulse is neutralized by its negative counterpart within a 1 micro-Coulomb tolerance. This eliminates the accumulation of ions that leads to the chemical burns common in low-end DC-offset devices.

  • Micro-Current Sensitivity (1mA steps)

Arthritic patients often have hypersensitive nerve endings. The digital potentiometer used in the hardware allows for 1mA increments instead of traditional analog dials. This provides a repeatable and documented clinical dosage, preventing accidental over-stimulation in RA flare-up scenarios.

Applications

Hand Osteoarthritis

Targeted stimulation for PIP and DIP joint pain reduction.

Knee RA Management

High-frequency gate control for morning stiffness relief.

Post-Infiltration Support

Adjunctive therapy to maintain mobility after corticosteroid injection.

OEM & Private Label

Production logic is split between our China facility (SMT and injection molding) and our Vietnam facility (Final assembly and kitting) to optimize duty and logistics.

  • Kitting: Custom electrode configurations (butterfly or 2.0mm pin pigtail) included per distributor specification.
  • Firmware : Pre-set modes can be locked to 2Hz/100Hz for clinical study compliance.

Certifications

Regulatory FDA 510(k), CE (MDR 2017/745), UKCA.

Audits : ISO 13485:2016 and MDSAP certified manufacturing sites.

Safety: IEC 60601-2-10 (Nerve Stimulator Safety) certified by Intertek/SGS.

FAQ

Q: Why does the device auto-shutoff when treating small joints?

A: This occurs if the load impedance exceeds 2500 Ohms, triggered by poor electrode adhesion or high skin dryness. It is a safety feature required by IEC 60601-2-10 to prevent high-voltage arcing.

Q: What is the tolerance for pulse timing accuracy?

A: The crystal oscillator on the PCB maintains a frequency deviation of < 1%. Pulse width jitter is controlled to < 2 microseconds to ensure constant sensory input.
