Details:
The lamination stack is built to absorb and distribute medium-frequency kinetic energy. The base is a conformable spunlace non-woven fabric.

A specialized conductive carbon film, augmented with a low-resistance dispersion grid, is laminated to this backing. The skin-contact layer utilizes an over-engineered, heavily cross-linked polyacrylamide hydrogel.

Because 4000Hz currents generate substantial localized heat, the gel's water-to-glycerol ratio is titrated to function as an endothermic heat sink while maintaining ionic continuity.

Manufacturing executes within ISO 13485 audited cleanrooms.

OEM IFC Electrodes | Interferential Current Pads | TOP-RANK

B2B IFC electrodes for interferential therapy. Engineered with ultra-low impedance dispersion grids and high-tack hydrogels to safely manage 4000Hz carrier waves without thermal hotspots.

Product Overview

IFC (Interferential Current) electrodes are specialized transdermal interfaces designed for medium-frequency (typically 4000Hz) clinical electrotherapy. Unlike standard TENS units operating at low frequencies, IFC protocols deliver deeply penetrating, intersecting current vectors. This hardware requires a significantly higher charge-carrying capacity to prevent electrochemical tissue damage. We supply these oversized, high-density conductive matrices to professional chiropractic clinics, sports medicine facilities, and physiotherapy hardware OEMs.

Technical/Engineering Description

Standard wholesale MOQ starts at 20,000 packs.

Key Features

  • 4000Hz Carrier Wave Current Dispersion

Standard TENS pads are not rated for the aggressive current densities produced by a 4000Hz IFC carrier wave. Using a low-tier pad causes the electrical vector to tunnel directly beneath the lead wire, resulting in severe focal burns. Our IFC-specific substrate incorporates a thickened, gradient-printed conductive layer. This physical architecture forces the medium-frequency electrons to scatter laterally across the entire 3x5-inch footprint before penetrating the hydrogel, maintaining a flat and mathematically safe current density.

  • Quad-Polar Edge-Lifting Prevention

IFC treatments utilize a quad-polar placement (four pads) surrounding an inflamed joint or spine. During a 30-minute session, patient movement induces severe lateral shear force. If a pad edge lifts, the active conductive area shrinks while the machine continues pushing the same high-mA load, triggering immediate arcing. The hydrogel is calibrated with a high storage modulus and a 4.0N baseline peel force. This ensures the matrix bites firmly into the epidermal ridges, resisting mechanical leverage from the spunlace backing and preventing perimeter detachment.

  • Endothermic Heat Sink Rheology

Continuous medium-frequency stimulation generates significant exothermic heat at the skin boundary. A standard hydrogel desiccates rapidly under these thermal conditions, forming an insulating crust that spikes the impedance. The specific polymer matrix used here retains a high volume of structured water trapped within its lattice. This acts as a thermodynamic buffer, absorbing the heat generated by the 4000Hz friction and delaying vaporization, ensuring the pad remains ionically active throughout the clinical protocol.

Applications

Chiropractic Sciatica Gating

Quad-polar placement over the lumbar spine to drive intersecting 4000Hz waves deep into paraspinal tissues.

Post-Trauma Edema Reduction

Large-area stimulation facilitating deep muscle pumping to clear interstitial fluids.

Osteoarthritis Joint Therapy

Conforming around high-curvature anatomical zones like knees and shoulders without impedance loss.

OEM & Private Label

  • Oversized Tooling Capabilities : We maintain dedicated rotary anvils for large-format IFC geometries, including specific butterfly, oval, or 3x5-inch rectangular contours required by OEM host machines.

  • Logistics Routing : Base roll lamination and hydrogel coating operate in our China facility. Final dimensional die-cutting, terminal crimping, and high-barrier pouch sealing route through our Vietnam hub, isolating the supply chain from specific regional medical tariffs.

Certifications

  • Regulatory Compliance : Product technical files and frequency-impedance logs support OEM submissions for FDA 510(k) and CE (MDR) clearances.

  • Systems : Component assembly and QA bench testing execute strictly under audited ISO 13485:2016 and MDSAP quality frameworks.

FAQ

Q: Can a clinic just use generic 50x50mm TENS pads for an IFC machine?

A: It is strictly contraindicated. A 50x50mm pad lacks the mathematical surface area to safely dilute the current density of a 4000Hz IFC signal. Pushing that energy through a small, generic pad will almost certainly cause electrochemical burns at the application site. IFC requires oversized, high-dispersion electrodes.

Q: Why do the pads leave a red mark after a 45-minute IFC session?

A: Mild erythema (redness) is an expected physiological response to the localized vasodilation caused by medium-frequency stimulation, not necessarily an allergic reaction. However, if the redness presents as a sharp, stinging point-burn, it indicates the hydrogel has dried out or the carbon film has failed, funneling the current. Our high-tack, heat-absorbing formulation mitigates this hardware failure.
